The Tailwind
Aries & Sagittarius
Two fire signs at the friendliest angle in the geometry, the couple everyone wants at the party and nobody expects to plan it.
A aries sun (amber) and a sagittarius sun (violet), 120° apart
The geometry
Aries and Sagittarius sit 120° apart on the wheel — a trine: downhill both ways — flow that must not become drift. Aries is fire and cardinal, ruled by Mars; Sagittarius is fire and mutable, ruled by Jupiter.
A trine is 120 degrees, fire answering fire, downhill both ways. Aries is cardinal and Mars-ruled, which makes it the push, while Sagittarius is mutable and Jupiter-ruled, which makes it the expansion. One strikes the spark and the other turns it into a horizon. Astrologers read the fire trine as pure agreement of temperament, and here the agreement lands on the only subject either sign considers non-negotiable, which is motion. Nothing about this pairing needs to be negotiated into existence, so it simply starts moving.
What they do better than most couples is say yes at the same speed. The midnight road trip actually leaves at midnight, and the ridiculous plan gets a napkin sketch and a deposit. Neither dims the other, neither flinches at appetite, and neither has ever said 'be realistic' and meant it. Aries brings the nerve for the first step, while Sagittarius brings the faith that the road continues past the headlights. For two signs that hate being managed, it's remarkable how little managing this needs.
The trine's fine print is flow that must not become drift. Two accelerators and no brake means the bills, the follow-through, and the unglamorous middle of every adventure belong to nobody by instinct. The rare fights are flash fires, and the real danger is a life that is all launches. Couples who last install a brake on purpose. That means one recurring evening for logistics, a standing question about who is landing this plane, and a rule that finishing something counts as an adventure too.
The spark
A yes that arrives at the same speed from both sides.
The friction
Two accelerators and no brake — somebody has to volunteer to land the plane.
What two sun signs can't tell you
This page reads one placement against one placement — a real texture, honestly described, and still a coarse map. Your Moon argues, your Venus flirts, your Mercury interrupts. A full synastry reading compares both complete charts, aspect by aspect, computed from JPL ephemeris data. That's what Pairs is for: link your two charts and read the real thing. No fake percentage will ever appear on this page — an archetype you can argue with beats a number nobody can check.
Start somewhere fun: let us guess your Big Three.
