The geometry
Aries and Libra sit 180° apart on the wheel — a opposition: the far end of the same axis — a mirror at full length. Aries is fire and cardinal, ruled by Mars; Libra is air and cardinal, ruled by Venus.
A hundred and eighty degrees is the mirror at full length, and this axis is the oldest one in the book.
